This is a proxy daemon as you've never seen it before. It uses little slave daemons to fetch the pages requested by the webbrowsers. Offcourse these slaves don't have to use HTTP to fetch webpages, they can also use, for instance, a web-through-mail gateway. The enclosed slaves do use HTTP, though. One of them is written in C, the other in Perl.
This software isn't quite finised yet, but interested hackers may want to take a look.
Note: when downloading with Netscape, the archive may be unpacked automatically, however Netscape doesn't change the file's extension. When you experience problems unpacking the archive please try unpacking using 'tar xf proxyd.tar.gz'.
